• Due to the steep terrain, cantilevering the structure was a more efficient use of material. A shaded deck overlooks the valley.

  • As one approaches this home in the woods, Lake Michigan can be seen below the main level as it bridges across.

  • The stair and elevator tower evokes a lighthouse or silo and doubles as access to a rooftop observatory.

The first home is for an Argentinian architect and his wife. The home looks out over Boulder Valley and the Continental Divide on opposite ends. The very steep site calls for a dramatic cantilever. Our 9th home designed for an architect.

The second is a vacation home overlooking Sturgeon Bay, Lake Michigan in Door County, Wis.
